Special Evening to Inspire Our Youth to be Change Agents of the World – Wed Jan 21st, 7pm
ImpactAVillage is proud to host a very special event In the Granite Bay home of Lisa Wade, President of ImpactAVillage on Wednesday January 21st, 7-8:30pm. Craig Kielburger, the charismatic co-founder of the international charity “Free the Children” will give an inspiring talk to empower youth to change the world. All are welcome at this free event including parents, teachers and children.
Craig, who is a New York Times best selling author and has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN and 60 Minutes, will speak about We Act, an educational program that empowers youth to become active local, national and global citizens. A special guest is Deng Ajak Jongkuch, a Sudanese refugee who has overcome hardships of war to make a difference in the world. Laura Lyon, board member of ImpactAVillage and Director of Advancement at St. Michael’s Episcopal Day School in Carmichael will discuss her school’s involvement in community service and global awareness.
